Participatory Mechanisms

Participatory processes help develop whole-of-system understanding and the scaling of climate change impacts to the local context, through the inclusion of end-users.

Impacts are complex, intersecting and compounding especially at a local-level scale, and require developing shared understanding of impact and risks across a range of stakeholders.

Participatory mechanisms are those that empower, inform and involve parties: they are inherently a social learning process
